Binairo

Fill the grid with 0s and 1s — balanced lines, and never three the same in a row.

Binairo

Every row and column must hold as many 0s as 1s, never have three of the same in a row, and no two rows (or two columns) may be identical.

How to play Binairo

Binairo — also known as Takuzu, Binary Puzzle or Unruly — is a logic puzzle played with just two symbols, 0 and 1. Fill every empty cell so the whole grid obeys three rules:

Tap a cell to cycle it through empty, 0 and 1. With a keyboard you can also select a cell and press 0, 1 or Backspace.

Solving tips

Why Binairo is satisfying

Binairo is deduction stripped to its cleanest form: only two symbols, only three rules, and never any guessing. It scales beautifully — a 6×6 is a two-minute warm-up, while a 10×10 rewards careful chains of reasoning. It's a lovely change of pace from the 1–9 puzzles like Sudoku and Kakuro.

Frequently asked questions

Is Binairo the same as Takuzu?

Yes. Binairo, Takuzu, Binary Puzzle and Unruly are all names for the same game: fill a grid with two symbols under the no-three-in-a-row, balance and all-lines-different rules.

How do I enter a value?

Tap a cell to cycle it through empty, 0 and 1. On a keyboard, select a cell and press 0, 1, or Backspace to clear it.

Do I have to use 0 and 1?

The two symbols are just labels — some versions use two colours or suns and moons. Here we use 0 and 1, but the logic is identical.

Does every puzzle have one solution?

Yes. Each board is generated and verified to have exactly one solution, reachable by logic alone.
