About QuietCalcs
A calm, independent little arcade for people who like playing with numbers.
What this is
QuietCalcs is a free collection of mental-math games and number puzzles — things like timed arithmetic sprints, Sudoku, KenKen and times-table drills. It's built and maintained by one developer as an independent project. The whole site is plain static pages: every game runs entirely in your browser, there's no account to make, and there's no backend to send your play data to even if we wanted one.
Why it's "quiet"
Most puzzle and brain-game sites are a wall of blinking ads, pop-ups and sign-up nags. QuietCalcs is deliberately the opposite: clean, fast, and calm. There are a couple of unobtrusive ads to keep the lights on, and that's it. The idea is that a few minutes of mental math or a good number puzzle should feel like a nice break, not an obstacle course.
How your scores work
Your best scores, streaks and progress are saved in your browser's local storage, on your own device. They're never uploaded. The Number Score page rolls all your bests into a single figure so you can see where you're strong and what to practise next. Clear your browser data and it simply starts over.
How it's funded
The site shows a small amount of advertising, clearly labelled where it appears. That covers the hosting; it never changes how a game plays. There are no paid tiers and no premium unlocks — everything is free for everyone.
